encourage and engage people to go to events near them?
Sometimes it can be hard to know about everything that’s going on in your local area, or to remain committed and motivated to attend the events you can nd. From meetup groups, pop up events, temporary displays, volunteering opportunities, community events or speci c artists/genres performances.
So, how would I use different touchpoints to encourage and engage people to go to events near them?
FOMO (or Fear of Missing Out) as “Anxiety that an exciting or interesting event may currently be happening elsewhere; often brought to our attention by posts seen on a social media website.” (Oxford Dictionaries: 2013)
OVERVIEW
From Eventbrite survey. 78% of Millennials (de ned as people who born in between 1980 and 1996, aged 18 to 35 years in 2015) choose to purchase on experiences more than things. 72% say that they would prefer to purchase more on experiences next year. 'FOMO' drives millennials’ experiential appetite: Nearly 7 in 10 (69%) millennials experience FOMO. In a world where life experiences are broadcasted across social media, the fear of missing out drives millennials to show up, share and engage.
